The mission of RataPlan is working on social and sustainable entrepreneurship, creating opportunities for both people and the environment. In doing so, we focus on three pillars.

|Durable||We ensure a longer lifespan of products or recycling of raw materials.|
We provide work for people with a large distance to the labour market and allowing them to grow as a result is one of the most important goals of RataPlan. We want to create work that is worthwhile and we want everyone able to participate. Through work, RataPlan creates as many paid jobs as possible for people with a large distance to the labour market. In addition, we create as many work experience placements as possible, enabling people to take a step or even the step towards a paid job. This also applies to internships for VMBO students, social internships and MBO-level 1 and 2 internships. In addition, RataPlan strives to make volunteers, who are intrinsically motivated and do not want to sit at home, to take a step towards work. Of course we also have a place for volunteers who support the goals of RataPlan, and/or who have expertise in the field of work at RataPlan!
RataPlan ensures a longer lifespan of products. Every day we offer 'new', unique items in our stores. By promoting the reuse of goods as much as possible, waste is prevented. If product re-use is not feasible, RataPlan strives material reuse. Material and product reuse is presented in a well-arranged manner per store via a mass balance.
In realizing her goals, RataPlan aims to make the effects sustainable through paid work or work experience, but also through the reuse and promoting longer lifespan of products. Where possible, RataPlan also looks at sustainable business assets such as cars, lighting, heating, etc.
Make work of
RataPlan is really committed to realizing her mission. We do everything possible to realize our mission. We for example do not stop at the reuse of products but we go a step further by reclaiming materials and creating as little residual waste as possible. By being friendly to customers and making sure that the stores look attractive, so RataPlan can sell as much as possible and thereby creating more jobs for people with a large distance to the labour market. But of course it is also meant that paid work is made (generated) with sustainable entrepreneurship.
RataPlan seizes every opportunity to further shape its mission. We do this by translating the opportunities in an enterprising way to the business side of RataPlan. RataPlan is constantly looking for ways to innovate both in the field of reuse and recycling and in the field of bicycles.
