I had scheduled a pick up for today. My housemate and I were struggling to bring the couch downstairs as the two men arrived. They didn’t even offer to help us even though they saw us struggling on the stairs to move the couch downstairs. They were just complaining that we were not ready on time.
When we finally got it halfway through the entrance door and one of the guys was so rude about the couch not being in good condition. It was torn at the very bottom, which I can understand might not be suited for Rataplan but he could have explained calmly to us and tell us why he wasn’t going to take it, in a calm manner. Instead he was so so rude and angry and literally just walked away into his van without even an apology, leaving us there stuck halfway through the door with the couch.
My housemate called client services who were at least nice about the situation. But I have never experienced such a rude person in my life. I was giving away the couch for free, so of course it is not going to be in the best condition, if not I would have sold it. At least next time have someone pass by to view the item and confirm if they will take it or not before letting a situation like this happen.

Dear, We are sorry to hear that you have not had a pleasant experience with our pick-up service. Many people who work at RataPlan have a distance from the regular labor market and do not always respond socially desired or accepted. We do our best to guide and train our employees so that they can work at RataPlan as well as possible. We will handle this internally to avoid future situations like this one.
The conditions for having items picked up are that the items must be presented on the ground floor. In addition, it is important that items are in complete and good condition. Otherwise our drivers are not allowed to take the items. Hopefully next time you will have a better experience with our pick-up service. Kind regards, RataPlan
