In the night of September 18th 2017, a violent fire destroyed a large part of the thrift store at Generatorstraat 10. On Thursday March 15th 2018, almost half a year after the devastating fire, the largest second-hand shop in Amsterdam is able to open its doors again. We would like to welcome everyone as of 09:00 am.
Second-hand furniture and more
Soon after recovering from the shock of this unfortunate event, we were able to resume our daily activities. Fortunately, the premises at Jarmuiden 21a provided the needed space to resume work and also to create a new stock for the reopening of RataPlan Generatorstraat. As we speak, the last preparations are done and as of March 15th everyone can come by once again for their second-hand furniture, clothes, bicycles, books, music and much more.
Used furniture gets a second life at the second-hand stores of RataPlan. For example, a second-hand dining table. One person may no longer like this table whilst another person might still be happy with that same table. This same principle applies to used clothing and much more. Let yourself be amazed at the second-hand shop at Generatorstraat 10.
Public opening
As of Thursday March 15th 2018 everyone can come by and shop. RataPlan Amsterdam opens its doors at 9:00 am for customers and will toast to a new start at 10:00 am. Fun activities will also be organized. Which specific activities, will soon be announced on this page and on the social media of RataPlan Amsterdam.
The buildup of the warehouse still has to be completed and therefore the official opening will take place in June 2018. The grand opening date will be announced in the press and on the website. RataPlan looks forward to welcoming everyone back again in the near future.
