Bianca, originally from Haarlem, has had a whole career there, from home care, cleaning, filling cigarette machines to selling all kinds of delicacies in a pastry shop. Bianca has done it all! Ultimately, she settled at RataPlan. Bianca started at RataPlan The Hague in the small goods department, then she added RataPlan Haarlem worked as an assistant manager and now she works as a manager in the recycling factory. A great place to work, says Bianca.
Everything that enters the recycling factory is given a new place
Bianca's activities vary from day to day, but she is happy to help with everything. A few times a week a new load of clothing arrives, then they drive in a large truck with clothing from the underground containers. This is delivered to the recycling plant and must be sorted out. You are amazed at what people throw away, says Bianca, this varies from clothing with the cards still on or household goods to (unfortunately) rabbit droppings or cans of beer. 'You come across all kinds of things. Sometimes gems too! ' After the rough sorting, everything is placed on the treadmill and it goes upstairs where the colleagues do the fine sorting work. During the fine sorting work it is determined whether the clothing is suitable for wearable Africa, shop quality or industry (these items are recycled).
'I like to help with everything, says Bianca'
In addition, Bianca is also the point of contact and takes care of the ins and outs of the recycling factory. Naturally, this also includes talking to colleagues and solving problems if there are any. "They can always come to me," says Bianca. New people are also hired and Bianca has regular conversations with job coaches. But the most important thing, she thinks, is fun in the workplace. Make a joke now and then and laugh, scream, roar! 'That gives me energy, it gives a pleasant working atmosphere and everyone enjoys their work!' In addition to her work at the recycling factory, Bianca likes to kickboxing 3 times a week, she also likes going out, having a drink, socializing and doing fun things. "In short, Life!" she says.
Bianca is also an avid recycling fan herself!
Basically I like everything about my job, dealing with and cheering people up, the gems you find, the environment and recycling. But above all, creating something beautiful and fun together! Bianca herself is also a cycle fan and visits the cycle regularly. She likes to look at the accessories and find something you can't find at a regular store. But she can also be found there for the standard things that you just need every now and then. The best thing Bianca has ever bought at the thrift store are a few beautiful vases RataPlan The Hague, "but there is so much beauty," she says. 'I can hardly choose'.
Precious memories of working at RataPlan
The best memories for Bianca are actually too many to mention, for example: the National Recycling Day, the Sinterklaas party that she celebrated in one of the stores and the nice contact with all colleagues. Finally, her colleague Mike agrees that Bianca is always cheerful, makes occasional jokes and that it is always a joy to work together.
